Role/Job FIELD OPERATIONS SERVICES FORCADOS TERMINAL: (Process Operations Technicians/Control Room Operator/Utility- Instrument Air System Operator/ Utility- Water Treatment Facility Operator/Hydrocarbon Accountant)

Start Date 1st March 2025

Minimum Requirements
• Trade Test Cert (IVQ)/OND/HND/ University Degree with 3 – 8year work experience as a field operator in an oil and gas facility or SSCE/WAEC with a minimum of 10 years plus IVQ work experience as a field operator in an oil and gas facility.
• Minimum of one year: as a Drains/Front Line Maintenance/Instrument air and fuel gas/Intake operator/Last Line of Defense operations/Facility Maintenance personnel/facility Control Room Operator/Hydrocarbon Oil accountant/Radio Operator in managing Export Interface
• Ability to read and interpret process engineering flow schemes (PEFS)
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and word)
• Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
• Basic Knowledge of Terminal Operations
• Basic knowledge of Process and Personal safety
• Basic knowledge of Oil recovery operations

Skills
(Added advantage)
Control Room Operator:
• T_BOSIET/HUET certification
• Experience in the operation of 3 phase separators, compressors, pumps and other crude oil processing equipment
• A good understanding of the working principles of field instrumentation and process automation systems.
Process Operations Technician
• T_BOSIET/HUET certification
• Experience in offshore operations
• Experience in crude oil fiscal measurement activities
• Experience in the Enclosed Flare management and management of Operational Registers.

Utility – Instrument Air System
• T_BOSIET/HUET certification
• Experience in maintenance of air compressors.
• A good understanding of the working principles of field instrumentation and process automation systems.

Utility – Water Treatment System
• T_BOSIET/HUET certification
• Experience in maintenance of pumps, sight glass, and valves
• Experience in managing Chemical Injection for improved Water Effluent quality
• A good understanding of the working principles of field instrumentation and process automation systems.
Hydrocarbon Accountant
• T_BOSIET/HUET certification
• Experience in preparation of documents for crude oil export
• Experience in preparation of Fiscalisation report

Soft Skills
• Onsite Hazards identification and Risk assessment capability.
• Problem-solving and good analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
• Ability to work in a diverse team.
• Self-Motivated and performs under minimal supervision.
• Ability to trend and analyze data sets.
• Ability to understand and perform production operations (volume, pressure) calculation.
• Ability to understand unit of various variables i.e., pressure, volume, flowrate etc.
• Ability to work in a diverse team and with external stake holders.

Roles and Responsibilities
The Field Operator services support will also be responsible for the following:
• Apply the emergency response procedure where and when necessary.
• Report and close out Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions
• Serves as permit to work signatory and administer safe system of work.
• Apply the Health Safety Security and Environment policy, legislations applicable to crude oil transfer and export.
• Carry out first line maintenance on pumps, motors, separators, and valves.
• Adhere to plant operational procedures.
• Start-up and Shutdown of Oil and Gas facilities
• Perform daily first line monitoring of process parameters and variables.
• Execute daily communication and Shift handover.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance interventions plant isolation etc.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to execute planned activities.
• Collaborate with Plant operators to execute front line maintenance activities in the plant.
• Perform proper housekeeping within the plant.
• Serve as focal point for operational registers.
• Maintain defective equipment register for plant.
• Direct the operation of the vacuum truck.

Work Cycle

• The work location is Forcados Oil Terminal accessible via water and Air.
• The job activity period is daily on a 12-hour (7 am to7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
• There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off schedule.
• The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitably qualified covers.
• There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.
• Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arises
